Jury for Author’s Selection

Che Marcheti

Storyboard artist, born in São Paulo-Brazil.
She worked on series for Netflix, Cartoon Network and many others. Author of the book Trajectory of Animated Cinema in Brazil.
She cultivates her love for animated films as one of the founders and curator of the Zootropio Show.

Joana Marques

With 10 years of professional experience in the areas of Architecture, Management and Cultural Programming, Editing, Event Production and Communication. She was part of the Cinema Nucleus of the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon, and of the CineBatalha Group, an organic group that values and stimulates the Batalha cinema in Porto. Collaborated with BEAST – International Film Festival since its first edition in the areas of Communication and Production. Since 2014 he is a member of the Board of the Portuguese Cinematography Club – Cineclube do Porto.

Sahra Kunz

Has an a degree in Fine Arts – Painting from the Fine Arts School in Porto (1997), a Master’s degree in Sound and Image from the Portuguese Catholic University (2001) and a PhD in Drawing by the Fine Arts School at the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao (2011). She teaches several courses at the School of the Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University, including Drawing Tools, Drawing for Pre-Production, Animation History, Animation Theory, Animation Atelier, Animation Final Project and Dissertation.

Ana Moniz

Is a portuguese director and story artist. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Arts and Multimedia from ESAD, in Porto, after a significant career change. In 2020, she co-directed her first film “Sundown” for her Masters in Animated Filmmaking at Gobelins, in Paris, where she is currently based. She may return to Porto once she has tried each and every single french pastry.

Natália Andrade

Born in 1992, in Braga. She studied Multimedia at the Soares dos Reis School, Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and Animation at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest. His student films, such as “Within” and “Lascas”, have been shown at festivals such as Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival, Animateka and Curtas Vila do Conde. Recently he has worked as a freelancer in animation and compositing.

Vitor Hugo Gomes

Degree in Animation and Multimedia Design, at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre. In 2011 starts in 2D animation at Bang! Bang! Animation Studio, as an animator in the Nutriventures series in 2015, participates in the Academia RTP Project, participating as a 2D animator in the short film “Pronto, era Assim” among other things. In 2016 he joined the Studio SOI team, participating in two seasons of the Cartoon Network’s “The Amazing world of Gumball” series, and in the short film “ODE” for the Trickfilm-Festival Stuttgart. Meanwhile, he collaborated with AIM Creative Studios on several animation projects. In 2019 he is a jury for the selection of the National Animation Prize, a festival that is promoted entirely by the animation house, also integrates that same festival as a trainer giving a 2-day workshop of Adobe Animate’19. In 2020 he joins the Cartoon Network’s “The Amazing world of Gumball” Series team, for a special 8-episode edition. He also participates as a speaker at the festival “Olho”.
